| TitleCleaner is a tool which makes use of the Final Cut Pro XMLs to clean text from subtitles much easier and faster than it can be done within FCP. While working with subtitles there are normally some "favorite" errors, like multiple spaces or "extra" ones at the beginning or the end of a line, also additional returns may occur. TitleCleaner can be used to quickly clean titles from Final Cut Pro XML, eliminating duplicate/extra spaces, additional carriage returns, and more. TitleCleaner automates the tasks with a few clicks and also allows users to perform a custom "Find/Replace" within the text of the generators in the XML as well as batch renaming of clips based on the titles themselves. ![]() ![]() Sometimes it's also useful to have spellchecking for subtitles. TitleCleaner has an option for this also. Select the desired language before you open the FCP XML.. First all generators are "cleaned" based on the options selected and will be saved into the original XML. During this process the titles with spell errors are marked internally.
With spell checking enabled those titles will be displayed in an extra window with OS X spell checking activated. The "Show Generators with Spelling Errors only" button will cause that only titles with spelling errors are displayed.
Another feature of TitleCleaner is the option to rename the generator automatically. Each generator clip will get the first 60 characters of the titles text as name.
